Our grant funding supports frontline organisations and projects that provide essential help for seafarers and their families in crisis. Each grant application is assessed against our core goals to ensure the support provided to ensure that your donations go to where the need is greatest.

Mortrans Welfare Fund
Grant funding awarded in 2022 from the Seafarers International Relief Fund to provide a fund for individual hardship grants to support the seafarer members and their families of the Marine Transport Workers Trade Union of Ukraine who have been displaced from their homes or otherwise impacted by the crisis in Ukraine.
Amount awarded: £58,700
The Officers' Association
Grant funding awarded in 2022 to provide welfare grant payments to Royal Navy Officers and widows as well as a top-up of the grant fund for midshipmen. The grant will also provide a 20% contribution towards the core costs of delivering a case working service to support beneficiaries.

International Seafarers' Welfare & Assistance Network
Grant funding awarded in 2022 from the Seafarers International Relief Fund for a new Seafarers' Hardship Fund, managed on behalf of the Seafarers International Relief Fund, to support seafarers and their families impacted by the crisis in Ukraine.

International Seafarers' Welfare & Assistance Network
Grant funding awarded in 2022 from the Seafarers International Relief Fund to top up funding for the recently established, and now fully utilised, Seafarers' Hardship Fund, managed on behalf of the Seafarers International Relief Fund Ukraine, to support seafarers and their families impacted by the crisis in Ukraine.
