Sailing around Great Britain for The Seafarers' Charity

In May 2019, Mark Ashley-Miller set sail on his 34ft boat ‘Good Dog’ from Dartmouth with the aim of circumnavigating the British Isles (UK & Ireland) and meeting every Harbour Master. On 28 September 2023, Mark and his crew completed the five-year journey, having visited 310 harbours and met a total of 256 Harbour Masters in support of The Seafarers' Charity. Throughout the voyage, Mark sailed 9,000 nautical miles, helped by 90 different crew members, and raised over £25,000.

AMI Marine

Martin Cox, AMI Marine Director, and Robin Grigg, took on a unique challenge in support of The Seafarers’ Charity by riding 1,000 miles in under 24 hours on their motorbikes! Between them they have overcome the personal physical challenges of cancer and back surgery, so this ride was no mean feat.

We would like to thank the team at AMI Marine for taking on the challenge and raising an incredible £765 for our Charity.

Port to Port Challenge

One of The Seafarers’ Charity Ambassadors and our Trustee, Lee Clarke Voster, takes on a challenge each year in support of the King George's Fund for Sailors Isle of Man. He also undertook on an epic challenge of walking from port to port around the Isle of Man (approximately 60 miles) across a 6-week period and raised over £3k for The Seafarers’ Charity, RNLI and ISWAN. Awesome work, Lee!
