Seapost - April 2024

The latest e-newsletter from The Seafarers' Charity.

In this edition of Seapost, we extend our heartfelt thanks to our loyal supporters for their indispensable dedication to seafarers and their families, particularly in these challenging times. If you haven't donated to our Spring Appeal yet, this is your chance to make a difference. And to those who have, thank you deeply for the invaluable lifeline you provide to those navigating the seas.

Next, we'd like to wish good luck to all of our London Marathon 2024 runners as they gear up for the iconic event on Sunday 21 April, all in support of The Seafarers' Charity.

We also invite you to join us in honouring those who tragically lost their lives while fishing in the UK on the new National Fishing Remembrance Day on Sunday 12 May 2024.

As we approach the 80th Anniversary of the D-Day landings, we take a moment to reflect on the sacrifices made by our seafaring veterans and our unwavering support for them and their families.

In celebration of International Women's Day, we shared some inspiring highlights from our Women Trustees in our blog.

We're also changing tack on Yacht Crew Welfare through our partnership project with The Mission to Seafarers and UK Sailing Academy, establishing a Welfare Hub for superyacht crew in Antibes, France.

Lastly, we invite you or anyone you think might be interested in joining our 24 Peaks Challenge on 6-7 July to elevate your impact and support our mission of improving seafarers' lives.
