#SafetyDrillTime Competition Terms & Conditions

1. The competition is promoted by The Seafarers' Charity (Seafarers UK, formerly King George's Fund for Sailors); 8 Hatherley Street, London SW1P 2QT. Identified in these Terms & Conditions as 'The Charity'

How to enter

2. The competition is free to enter.

3. Entrants must be 18 years old at the time of entering the competition.

4. To enter the competition, you must take a photo or a video of a safety drill on your vessel, post it on social media using the hashtag #SafetyDrillTime, like/follow our page/profile and mention The Seafarers' Charity in your post.

5. You can enter the competition on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter or LinkedIn.

6. Entries must be posted on social media between 30 June and 10 July midnight to enter the competition.

7. Only one entry per vessel.

8. No third party or bulk entries. If it becomes apparent that a participant is using any means to circumvent this condition such as, and without limitation, multiple email accounts, multiple reproduced or computer-generated entries, using multiple identities, fraudulently falsifying data, acting fraudulently or dishonestly in the opinion of the promoter or otherwise acting in violation of these terms, these participants will be disqualified, and any prize entitlement will be void.

9. Incomplete, illegible, misdirected or late entries will not be accepted. No responsibility can be accepted for entries that are incomplete, lost due to technical reasons, corrupted, delayed, wrongly delivered, or not received for whatsoever reason.

Winner Selection

10. Judges will be selecting a minimum of 3 entries as winners.

11. The Judges decisions are final in all matters relating to the competition.

Prizes

12. The judges will select one winner and three runners-up.

  • Winner will receive set of 3 items from Guy Cotten and a winners’ plaque.
  • The 3 runners-up will receive an Xtra Tuf footwear voucher worth £150 each and a winners’ plaque each.
  • Fishing News is providing an extra prize for the fishing crew with the winning crew photo featured in an upcoming edition of the newspaper.

Winners plaques will be for UK delivery addresses only. Guy Cotten holdall prizes are UK delivery only.

13. Prizes will be awarded per vessel.

14. Prizes must be accepted as offered. There are no cash or alternative prizes, in whole or part.

15. Where a prize is provided by a third-party, the Charity accepts no responsibility for inaccuracy of any prize description, or fulfilment.

Winner notification:

16. The winners will be notified by social media via the account used to enter the competition (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter or LinkedIn) and will have 14 days from notification to claim their prize. If a winner does not claim their prize within this timeframe the Charity reserves the right to withdraw prize entitlement.

17. It is the responsibility of the entrant to provide correct, up-to-date details when accepting the prize. The Charity cannot be held responsible for winners failing to supply accurate information which affects prize acceptance or delivery of their prize.

18. The Charity reserves the right to verify winners and ask for proof of identity, age and address and to withdraw prize entitlement where there are reasonable grounds to believe there has been a breach of these terms and conditions.

General

19. By entering the competition, you agree that all entries can be shared or promoted by The Seafarers' Charity on their website and social media accounts (including Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn) in order to promote and showcase the competition without any fee payable.


20. You agree that if you are a winner, you will take part in and co-operate fully with reasonable publicity and to the use of your name, photograph and any comments in such publicity without any fee being payable.

21. The Charity reserves the right to cancel, amend, withdraw, terminate or temporarily suspend this promotion in the event of any unforeseen circumstances or technical reason outside its reasonable control, with no liability to any entrants or third parties but will use all reasonable endeavours to avoid disappointment.

Data Protection

22. Any personal information that entrants share with the Charity will be kept secure and only used in line with these terms and conditions.

23. By entering the competition, entrants agree that their information will be collected, used and disclosed by the Charity and the prize supplier only to the extent necessary to allow them to dispatch the prize.
