Supporters Scale New Heights for The Seafarers’ Charity’s 24 Peaks Challenge
Nearly 100 supporters from across the maritime industry raised almost £80,000 for The Seafarers’ Charity after battling rain, mud, and rugged Lake District terrain during our flagship 24 Peaks Challenge from 3–5 July.

This year's challenge brought together a fantastic mix of returning teams and first-time participants. Long-standing supporters including Ashley Group, BMT, Maersk Logistics and Carisbrooke braved the peaks once again, joined by newcomers from TMA Logistics (from the Netherlands), DNV Maritime and Core Power. An aptly named ‘WindyFriday’ team comprised participants from WIND, Friday Shipbrokers and Draftec.
In the face of everything that the British climate could throw at them, participants demonstrated remarkable determination, teamwork, and resilience throughout the weekend. Every step they took helped fund our work supporting seafarers facing hardship and improving the welfare of those who work at sea and their loved ones.
Congratulations to everyone who completed the challenge and made memories for a lifetime in the Lake District. Thank you also to the colleagues, family members, volunteers, and donors whose encouragement and generosity helped make the weekend such a success.
A big well done also to our worthy award winners!
