Grants awarded

To strengthen access to welfare, health and community services for Scottish seafarers and their families through outreach, tailored transport, partnership working and referral pathways. The project will focus on east coast fishing and maritime communities from Fraserburgh and Peterhead to Rosyth, reducing barriers to accessing support and extending the reach of specialist services.

Renewed funding to sustain UKSA’s Welfare Team, delivering health and wellbeing support to vulnerable young people enrolled across its programmes, including their Superyacht Cadetship, Further Education and other career pathways, ensuring they can remain in training and progress into employment.

Funding to provide chaplaincy ship visiting activities in nearly 100 ports in the UK and beyond, seafarers’ centres in eight ports, and advocacy work for seafarers’ rights.

Funding towards the core costs of extending engagement with Seafood Cornwall’s mission and to take advantage of the move to the new centre for training in Newlyn.

To allow the continuation of regular grants to 49 means-tested beneficiaries plus a contribution towards the additional welfare costs incurred to improve their quality of life during difficult times.

To deliver financial and holistic support (via grants, projects, and wellbeing resources) that improves the wellbeing and life outcomes of Royal Navy families—especially children and young people—whether in crisis or facing service-related challenges.
