The Seafarers' Charity is seeking three new Trustees from diverse backgrounds and all sections of the community, to continue making a difference to those who need it most. Training and support will be provided.

We have been improving the lives of seafarers and their families for over 100 years by providing vital assistance in troubled times. Today, through our grant giving, we’re bringing about truly life-changing impact for many who work – or have worked – at sea, and their families. Alongside this we’re also using funding collaboration, research and advocacy to tackle the root causes of seafarer hardship and disadvantage in the UK and around the world.

We are looking for new Trustees to support the work of the charity to realise its mission.

Our expectations are that trustees will:

  • Play an active part in Council sub-committees.
  • Attend and actively participate at the quarterly General Council meetings.
  • Uphold the Charity’s values and be an ambassador for the Charity.
